The Use of Machine Learning With the release of Ray 2.0, Ray by Anyscale has become one of the most widely adopted methods by which businesses may handle sophisticated AI workloads.

During the Ray Summit-2022, the platform reached a new major milestone with the release of Ray 2.0. The Ray AI Runtime (AIR) is a runtime layer for the execution of ML services, and it is one of the aspects of Ray 2.0 that simplifies the creation and management of AI workloads.

Ray is used for training our most complex models. At the summit, OpenAI’s chief technology officer and co-founder Greg Brockman remarked that the platform has been instrumental in the company’s ability to expand to previously unimaginable proportions.

Ray allows MLops operations to be supported by machine learning models at scale across hardware resources. After nearly two years of development and several iterations, Ray 1.0 was published in September 2020.

Anyscale, Ray’s primary commercial supporter, has unveiled a new enterprise platform for running Ray and has raised $99M to promote business adoption with the new version.

The Ray framework is open source. Therefore many companies use it, including Shopify and Instacart. OpenAI, the creators of the GPT-3 Large Language Model and DALL-E, a system for generating images, all rely on this as a cornerstone of their respective artificial intelligence innovations.
