According to her, the NEP 2020 places a premium on expanding people’s horizons of understanding. Indian President Droupadi Murmu believes that new forms of breakthroughs would be made in the sectors of health, environment, and fields directly relevant to ordinary people if artificial intelligence is used to integrate bio-technology, nano-technology, and neuro-sciences.
Murmu reaffirmed the message provided by the National Educational Policy 2020, which is that students would acquire the ability to conduct research in novel categories using artificial intelligence and data sciences. The President has stated that there is a need to establish a knowledge network in the region. She believes that success will automatically come if institutions and companies collaborate to develop research.
The President expressed his satisfaction with the work being done at IIIT Dharwad to ensure that its students are well-equipped to face future challenges. The institute, she claimed, is preparing young people to become “global leaders in knowledge,” as its slogan, Gyan Vikas, suggests.
The President was pleased to hear that researchers at IIIT Dharwad had created a humanoid robot to aid the sick and the aged.
