Calling all coders, here’s your chance to innovate banking and win Rs 10 Lakh prize at this hackathon

If you are an avid coder with a zeal to develop robust fintech solutions, here is a perfect opportunity for you to earn rewards and make a difference in the banking sector.

Banking is one of the fastest evolving sectors, with rapid changes happening every few months. From sites to chatbots and now WhatsApp banking, the financial sector is adopting any — and every tool — possible to connect with users on the go, and offer a seamless personalised user experience. Industry reports suggest that by 2026, the global fintech market will be valued at worth $31.5 billion.

Riding on this wave of tech innovation, a leading homegrown retail bank Bank of Baroda recently initiated a hackathon to find out-of-box solutions using Azure. Bank of Baroda has partnered with India’s leading technology community, TechGig, to find innovative fintech solutions using new-age technologies.

This hackathon is open to all coders to develop cutting-edge, technology-led solutions that will redefine banking services. The best solutions at this hackathon will be implemented by the bank. There are two stages at this hackathon — idea submission & prototyping and a selected few will go to the final round. Winners take home Rs 10 Lakh prizes.

Let’s look into the specifics of this hackathon.

This hackathon’s goal is to develop technology-driven ideas for the bank. Users can participate individually or as a team of four people (maximum limit). The hackathon is divided into two phases: the first is the concept submission and registration phase, and the second is the prototype phase. The registrations for this hackathon kickstarted on July 20, 2022. The concept submission started on July 26, 2022, and ends on September 20, 2022.

Additionally, the Bank of Baroda is providing several master classes to coders to polish their Azure skills. Participation is free at https://bit.ly/3S0kmIT
