Tech innovation has a significant impact on gamification and customer engagement. How do you innovate to provide gamification services to brands, in terms of innovative products and smooth user interface?

At Baazi Games, we have an in-house tech team that is always working to improve consumer engagement and provide a better user experience. Our primary value of technological innovation has helped us scale our business and acquire new users. A strong in-house IT team without a doubt critical to our success.

We have recently released our “Fantasy Gaming Engine — BB Network” which is an end-to-end gamification service for brands and other gaming companies. BB Network allows other brands to integrate gaming options on their platform within seven days with complete customization.

What are the recent gaming innovations on your platform? How you are leveraging it to generate real-time data of players and provide a smoother gaming experience?
Across our platforms, our teams have always been on the cutting edge of innovation. We use real probability analysis to help players in evaluating their chances of winning. Furthermore, AI & ML is used to collect data for the recently launched stats feature, which allows players to learn from their past performances and improve their game.

We have used AI and real-time data on our fantasy sports offering BalleBaazi.com with the introduction of the Player Intelligence Feature which gives users data on the all-around performance of the players.

We are also using react-native for developing the application interface for better automation. There are several back-end advantages as well, the most important of which is fraud mitigation.

What proactive approach do you have in terms of privacy & data protection for all verticals/platforms?
There are multiple angles from which privacy and data protection must be looked. The first step is to ensure communication between the client (mobile app, web browser, desktop app) and the server is secure. This is called data-in-transit security. The next step is to ensure that the data is stored securely at our end. We do that by ensuring all our data is encrypted at the time of storage. We also ensure that our data is not accessible to anyone who is not authorized to access data and has role-based access control in place.

What are the tech trends that will dominate the gaming industry in 2022? What does the future hold for gaming in India?
With the adoption of 5G technology, more people will get access to uninterrupted and super-fast gameplay experiences. AI and ML technologies will provide the best class experience to users. As the gaming industry continues to grow, companies will learn how to deliver user experience at scale and do it with an optimized cloud infrastructure. We will also witness a rise in AR/VR gaming.

According to Budget 2022, the AVGC sector will provide a huge opportunity for the youth. What are the skills the industry needs? What are the major challenges you encounter when it comes to hiring technical talent?
The AVGC sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) offers immense potential to employ the youth of the nation. There is a serious crunch of specialised tech talent in the industry when it comes to the online gaming sector. Developing multiplayer games which can handle a large amount of traffic is a rarity in India. We work with a complete in-house game development team, and it has been a long process to nurture that talent. The appointment of the task force will surely ease out the process and create a larger pool of tech talent.
